Electronic powder dispenser

I'm thinking of getting an electronic powder dispenser, possibly an RCBS Chargemaster. Any thoughts as to which would be a good buy. I want something straightforward and reliable!

Been using one of these for a while now, works for my needs.

+1 for me. I had an RCBS (one of the refurbed ones from ebay) which was fine whilst it lasted. The Frankford and RCBS seem identical in terms of accuracy, with the Frankford slightly quicker maybe, but I check weights on another set of scales and trickle up if really precise loads are needed. They both like to be warmed up first for a couple of hours to get the best though. I like the fact you can calibrate the Frankford to your particular powder, and its very simple to operate.

You can also load an app on a smart device iPad that works Bluetooth and allows you to save your load data, so easy to pull a load backup and commence throwing the powder.

About as good as it gets without getting a Prometheus, and the Prometheus isn't that much better. Actually, for multiple cartridges, the Autotrickler V4 is actually easier to use.

It's not cheap. But then again, neither is my time.

Rcbs chargemaster lite for me, great tool and accurate as I will ever need
I picked up one of these from the US a couple of years ago. After reading all the reviews I could find it seemed the best buy and what it didn't do that the full Chargemaster did wasn't worth a big price difference between them.

I've made some accurate and consistent ammo with mine and although not as fast as a powder thrower with ball powder it's pretty fast and very consistent with extruded powders.

Completely agreed, especially on the extruded powders. I think I can count all over charges on my fingers out of hundreds of rounds

I wanted the Chargemaster lite but found the link a few quid cheaper. As they are essentially the same thing, I bought the link, never intended to use the Bluetooth and app but lo and behold, I do use it. No clue how to use the keypad now, just call up my load on the phone app and start it running. It is not a timesaver or in any way essential, but if you have it, you will use it, if you don't, you will not miss it.

My mate got the Lyman Gen 6 at the same time, about £50 cheaper but he has had a lot of problems and it is difficult to clean. I've had no problems at all with the Chargemaster, I 3D printed some Lyman style pans that pour the powder into the case directly.
