Enlarged lymph node, shoulder.

I may be overthinking this but I am now uncertain as to if this is anything to worry about. In short are these lymph nodes an issue?

A sika calf shot last week, acting normally before the shot, in good condition and all the inspected nodes were normal. All seemed well as I stated to butcher it, all other nodes I came across looked normal and no other abnormalities. All good or so I thought, until I was cutting up the shoulder and put the knife through the first node, which seemed odd. It feels normal, but there are lighter areas and it was bloody at one end, its about 40mm long, which seems big. A little confused I found the same node on the other side, it was a similar size but showed less white areas when opened.

The bit that's confusing me is that I wouldn't plan on finding these nodes in the shoulder fat, it's only because it was inadvertently cut that I'm now concerned.

Looks OK, even if a little enlarged.
The prescapular nodes are usually quite big anyway.

An older muntjac Buck head shot yesterday gave me the chance to skin out the front legs and point out nodes from both front legs as often one is discarded (or both!) due to the angle they stand at.
New stalkers might get the chance to gralloch what they have shot and take it home but then skin it and find these which I have found a bit larger in older Bucks over the years.

They look fine, they all have them just you found them!
There are 2 on the front part of the back legs as well

Normal internal appearance for a node. The size is due to being a calf and it’s immune system developing

Thank you that's really helped, I couldn't remember them being that big before and I don't make a habit of cutting into them, so was a little taken aback.
