I’m sure a lot of my gear would have good life expectancy, but I usually “upgrade” before it reaches end of life. The gear bug is real and expensive.

Most of the above items are older originals that seem to be better made and more robust than their newer versions, particularly when it comes to zips and stitching. I still send my Genson’s and Church’s for restoration and new soles - they come back like brand new at a much lower cost.

I hope one day to be able to indulge in a good pair of loakes or church's shoes.

I will say as previously mentioned good shoes and a nice (but not flashy) watch do catch my attention and leave an impression. Especially when interviewing.
