EU to UK trophy import

Has anyone had a trophy imported from Europe post Brexit. I have a deer skull and antlers with a friend in Finland, he is unfamiliar with the process /paperwork. My plan is for him to send the trophy to a taxidermist in Europe who knows the process. I will then pay the taxidermist. Any suggestions ?

It should go via an export / import agent as who will charge you loads for the paper work and box.
You then get pants pulled down here on tax and handling.
Maybe better to take a cheap flight over and a suitcase and spend a weekend and bring back like that .

I am not sure if this is relavent but my mates from Finland took home with them , in suit cases , a Muntjac each. In the jacket whole and compleat other than grolloch.

Last time I was in Finland with two clients, we bought all the skins and antlers back in the main bags wrapped up. If you are going to ship it in from Finland I would prepare yourself for a nasty shock with the freight bill.

Would have loved to see the face of airport staff if they scanned the bag. That being said, I’m sure they have seen stranger things …
