I know passions are high over this and many are not massive fans of the traveller community. I’m sure that some have had bad personal experiences with that community too. But my point is some are all too happy to tar all with the same brush. Have ALL ‘pikeys’ commited crimes against you? Not saying it’s easy living in harmony but that to me is just a dangerous attitude to have towards any group of people. And history backs me up sadly.

Maybe if they moderated their behaviour, people might be a bit more positive towards them.
Personally, i have met possibly two, out of many hundreds, who were not violent thieves.

Is this a deer hunting related thread ?

Should I spay my dog ? She does a false pregnancy thing after season .

Collectives thoughts please .

Cheers Hayduke
I think you can get some medication that'll stop her coming into season in the first place. That might be an option if you don't want her spayed.

Simple fact is this is the best deel possable for the UK economy. The alternative is a disastrous no deal

Mog Borris et al may make lots of noise over how great their version would be but they seem to forget to mention the EU has to agree the deel as well.

The alternative now is no deal or a second referendum

Thats it

In some ways I think a no deel will be historicly good for us and Europe.
When people see how bad it gets for the UK they will know never to make that mistake again

Looking at some of the rabid anti EU comments on here I fear the hard lessons will be the only ones properly learnt

I just pray if we go that rout someone like Borris is PM so there can be no excuses, no claims of foul. it will all be on your heads alone.

I don't think a 'no deal' will be the disaster that is made out. Sure, the wheels may stop turning for a brief period, but they will very soon begin to turn again out of urgent requirement.
Deals will quickly be done on better terms out of necessity. We all rely upon each other for trade and that quite simply will not just stop. The sky will not fall in and the world will continue to turn.
Bring it on!

I remember when the euro came out years ago, and the uk decided not to join it, all the smug brigade saying that the uk economy would be decimated, turns out it was fine, actually worked out for the best.

When you ask in the JobCentre why you are not entitled to some benefit or other and the bloke behind the counter, a Labour voter I presume, tells you: "You're the wrong colour, mate". The answer is yes.
has this actually happened? obviously other than to a cousin of a mates mates gran, in a pub disscusion!

Normally , I avoid any political discussions on SD . Mostly because it's none of my business , this also applies to American politics and politicians . To be honest , this post isn't about British politicians , it's about the contents of this thread .
I'm exposed to a lot of US media coverage , which as most of you know , is far from impartial , right or left . What I've noticed is that the UK media , and posters on this thread , have now gone down the same path . That , I find disturbing . The middle ground , remember that place , ( where people actually discussed things objectively ? ) has disappeared . Don't get me wrong , I'm reffering to everyone , left and right , so you can all flame me if you want . After reading through 7! pages I've come to the conclusion that either the world is going to end ............ or it might be a good thing . In short ........ have a nice day ........... at least you're not starving in the streets of some third world country . See , it's getting better already .

And its not just 7 pages!

But however many there are I've yet to see the question of "how green is our Brexit?" raised, which is rather surprising given how many SD members indicate a passion for not just pulling the trigger but the environment they have the good fortune to hunt in.

If we are truly concerned at what this challenge can deliver for future generations I would suggest we better evaluate what Brexit does or does not mean for our much beleaguered wildlife, the countryside in general and last, but not least, our off-shore waters.

Or is this too much to hope for from The Stalking Directory?

If that were the case id be OK with it but its just not.

The pain and suffering of all those who lose their jobs, the pain of all the foreign workers who were encouraged over here by our government only to be left isolated and scared, the general fear of loosing your job moving forward into a shrinking job market witch will allow companies to suppress pay and conditions, for the millions of UK citizens living and working in the EU there will be fear and uncertainty if not eviction, Freedom of travel will be curtailed, imported materials will go up in price, "just in time ordering" which has revolutionised manufacturing and driven down costs, will be broken or put under extreme pressure and manufacturing costs will rise. The knock on effect will mean the gap between what we are paid and what we can afford to buy will increase due to inflation and as a result our standards of living will drop, there will be a loss of confidence which props up the housing market and property prices will tumble forcing many into a negative equity trap, interest rates will rise to curb inflation and many will be put in a position of both negative equity and inability to pay their mortgage so repossessions will sour. Government will have to offer TaTa Steel and Nissan like bailouts to avoid the impact on social services of large companies closing which will cost the tax payer so new ways of taxation will need to be introduced (like toles on smart motorways because the billions in road tax and fuel excess charges just isn't enough)

Its a huge price to pay and I simply cant see what we are paying for? Some mythical increase in Soverign power???? Some mythical great white nation? A frigging blue passport?????

Please tell me what it is we gain thats worth this cost.

Do you think I am wrong?

Please go back an look at what I posted about the "Brexit Deel" about 24 hours after the referendum

Pretty much spot on wasnt I

The over 65s with their mortgage free properties and pensions who dont have to commute will do OK I suppose, but the working generation they helped screwed over, they will suffer.

I so badly want to be wrong but even cursory analysis of our options suggests the above is likely to very likely.

Just a thought....
When the dust settles on Britain's leaving of the EU, I wonder how long it will be before a referendum is done on joining again ??
