I don't think a 'no deal' will be the disaster that is made out. Sure, the wheels may stop turning for a brief period, but they will very soon begin to turn again out of urgent requirement.
Deals will quickly be done on better terms out of necessity. We all rely upon each other for trade and that quite simply will not just stop. The sky will not fall in and the world will continue to turn.
Bring it on!

If that were the case id be OK with it but its just not.
The pain and suffering of all those who lose their jobs, the pain of all the foreign workers who were encouraged over here by our government only to be left isolated and scared, the general fear of loosing your job moving forward into a shrinking job market witch will allow companies to suppress pay and conditions, for the millions of UK citizens living and working in the EU there will be fear and uncertainty if not eviction, Freedom of travel will be curtailed, imported materials will go up in price, "just in time ordering" which has revolutionised manufacturing and driven down costs, will be broken or put under extreme pressure and manufacturing costs will rise. The knock on effect will mean the gap between what we are paid and what we can afford to buy will increase due to inflation and as a result our standards of living will drop, there will be a loss of confidence which props up the housing market and property prices will tumble forcing many into a negative equity trap, interest rates will rise to curb inflation and many will be put in a position of both negative equity and inability to pay their mortgage so repossessions will sour. Government will have to offer TaTa Steel and Nissan like bailouts to avoid the impact on social services of large companies closing which will cost the tax payer so new ways of taxation will need to be introduced (like toles on smart motorways because the billions in road tax and fuel excess charges just isn't enough)
Its a huge price to pay and I simply cant see what we are paying for? Some mythical increase in Soverign power???? Some mythical great white nation? A frigging blue passport?????
Please tell me what it is we gain thats worth this cost.
Do you think I am wrong?
Please go back an look at what I posted about the "Brexit Deel" about 24 hours after the referendum
Pretty much spot on wasnt I
The over 65s with their mortgage free properties and pensions who dont have to commute will do OK I suppose, but the working generation they helped screwed over, they will suffer.
I so badly want to be wrong but even cursory analysis of our options suggests the above is likely to very likely.
