Face masks after monday - Your thoughts?

I know this is another Covid related thread but I think it is relevant and a question worth asking
Many of the restrictions regarding Covid will be lifted in England on Monday including the wearing of face masks in public places. I have just watched a clip of the BBC News (From Wednesday) that says that London Transport are making the wearing of face masks while travelling on Public Transport will still be mandatory after monday. Andy Burnham (Mayor of Manchester) is asking for the wearing of masks on the Greater Manchester Tram Services to do the same.
What are your thoughts regarding the wearing of face masks on public transport please?

Given how hot it is at the moment I can’t imagine anything worse than being muzzled on the tube. Thank god I don’t live in London anymore. Would be a firm no from me and also should be from the government these upstart commies like
Kahn and Burnham need slapping back into place.

I shall continue to take my own sensible precautions.

I shall avoid crowds. I always avoid crowds.
Having had to use the London Underground for over thirty years, I would rather stick pins in my eyes, than ever go back on it.

We will continue to keep the house well ventilated and our hand washing regime is both draconian and second nature.

On the rare occasions when I enter a premises (fuel/shop) then I shall wear a mask, in an attempt to prevent me unwittingly infecting others.

We've already been told by work facemasks for 3 months after the government lifts the requirements.
Common sense really till there's a change in attitude to the vaccine, my grandson (19 knows everything 🙄) unvaccinated .
Tested positive, sent home from work now his brother, sister and stepdad has it 😒.
And a very good friend is in icu at Derby Royal on a ventilator as she didn't want to have the jab .
Upto you what you do but think for a minute 🤔

Unfortunately, some people who may or may not dress up as a circus act are too busy listening to their "uncle Davie" spout nonsense on Facebook than listen to people who have devoted their entire working career on immunology and epidemiology. God help us.

Ok thanks for the advice grandpa! 🥳 🤪🤣

I guess one question is, "Do you care about other people"? because that is the point of wearing a mask. It reduces the size of the plume you exhale, which may contain the bug and so reduces the risk to others.

David.

All this was well known before covid came along and the reasoned medical and scientific consensus (as opposed to the brainless hysteria currently favoured) was that wearing masks in daily life was completely pointless.
It's a new type of coronavirus, not a complete reversal of the Enlightenment. We might as well burn witches again to be on the safe side.

I've been so lucky, I found that long lost chap Common Sense and I will listen to him.
Stay away from people.
In shops or church or anywhere people are, wear a mask.
Be sensible and I can't go wrong.
My mantra also - it appears that some people are determined to go against the medical advice almost out of spite as they are either fed up (bored?) or resent being told what they should do. At least in this country we are lucky (or could it be because the government did something right?) in having the vaccines and vaccinations available.

Funny really one day Boris tells us that the British people must be responsible and sensible.
Next day some **** stuffs a flare up his Jacksie and lights it in honour of a football match.
Responsible and sensible in the extreme!
There is no hope
