Fake CIC Certificates

The CIC UKTEB, as the originators of CIC Measuring Certificates, has become aware of certificates accompanying a small number of Roe Buck heads on an Ebay site, that are fakes. The measurements on the certificates are clearly not correct, the signatures and CIC stamp appear to be facsimiles and the points awarded do not match the measurements. Neither can we confirm the purported owners named on the certificate. We are currently taking legal advice, informing the Seller and would advise anyone contemplating the purchase of said heads to contact us if they have any suspicions.

It might be an idea to post your contact details?

I saw the post . Be interesting to know how they got stamped certificates though.

Also what happens if the seller is genuine and bought them unaware from someone else who was unaware?

There’s a lot of unscrupulous people out there and get a buck how they can.

The UKTEB would also like to get to the root of this. From what has appeared on eBay, there appears to be only one certificate, which has been wiped, apart from the signature and the CIC stamp. This has then been copied as a blank form, and filled in as required. As the OP says legal advice has been taken and we would advise anyone who has concerns to contact us through the CIC website www.cicukteb.com
