Went and visited my Mom and Dad yesterday and they handed me a photocopy of my Great, Great (maybe one more) Grandfathers memorial from 1933ish (no date on the article)
Was named George Crowcroft of Sutton Lodge Owston born in 1840
Guess he lived in Robin Hoods Well for a bit as well
He only worked there at the Sutton Lodge on the estate, but maybe, just maybe he was a helping hand with game keeping and that is where my passion for the outdoors comes from
Just interesting to read up on him, apparently a bit of a smart arse as well, so that's likely a trait I got
Am sure I will get going down a rabbit hole with the internet searches now
