Farmed Salmon

Migratory fish have so many hazards, both at sea and running the predatory gauntlet back to polluted, sewage-infested rivers with the redds scraped out and overgrown foliage. No salmon farming in the Bristol Channel and no salmon in the Severn, Usk or Wye.
I bet in Scotland that the SNP aren't worried about depleting the wild stocks of fish, affecting the Lairds incomes

I've been telling people for ages not to eat salmon. I read that each salmon cage (around 150 in number), produces the same amount of detritus, + chemicals, as a herd of 1000 cows. Sea lice are also a huge problem.
Pollution in general is the biggest problem salmon face, from farms as much as water companies, apparently only the river Dart has acceptable levels of pollution in England.
Anyone read the latest GWCT newsletter? When Hinkley Point gets going (without the fish scarer they were originally supposed to have), the coolant system will suck in any passing fish, including of course, salmon and sea trout.

All catch and release for rod anglers of course!
