I dislike high seats, personally. I'd rather bring back less venison but up my Pursch/stalking skills. Be that in the forrest or hills. As long as i am mobile and in beautiful soroundings, and that i can get the carcass back in a doable manner.
Ideally i'd like to hunt with iron sights only, making it something closer to bowhunting. For that woodlands will almost certainly be a must, but i also enjoy the alps (with a scope, of course).

This was my view yesterday evening. For this reason it has to be open hill, when one can have views like this straight after shooting a pair of roe (shortly before having the pain of the drag back) it just makes for a fantastic stalk.

You would think so, but the sun had done a marvellous job of heating every tussock!
First thing in the morning however, yes they stand out like a sore thumb in thermal.
