Quite pleased with first attempt, facing an area of clear fell , with crossing points on rides either side.
Munties and Roe.
Foot rest is 2.2m off ground, looks a bit low ? Time and success or otherwise will tell.
Much more comfortable for a 6’4” 18.5 stoner than having legs over the front.
Constructive observations welcome.
Cheers

You just need to add a little box shelf for your tea flask and sandwiches, and maybe a hook to hang your backpack on so it doesn't fall over the edge.
And maybe a wider plank atop the rail, if you like to shoot off a bipod? Never tried that myself, but I do know that some people get on well with it.

That will do well done. it is any fast hand movement they could see but....have a coffee back at the truck less crap to carry/drop.

Good and sturdy.
2 things to consider.
put an angle on the back where you lean. 90 degrees is uncomfortable to sit in. It should lean back 7 to 9 degrees if memory serves me right.
the second one, and this is only if you are going to use it yourself. Consider making a lid that you can strap to the tree. Sometimes we go out and it starts to rain, so a roof can help keep you and your kit dry. Hey, I li’e my comfort.

other than that. Well done.

Nice job. If you plan to keep it in situ and have the time then make a roof. A sheet of marine ply angled back on simple side supports. Any offcuts of ply can also box in the sides. Getting out the weather makes a massive difference. Always nice to have a couple of roofed seats to escape to if the weather turns.

People laugh but I have a fox box that I have just been rebuilding. Needs finishing. However I spend a lot of time up there. It is all laid out, I have now put a proper window in it, redone the roof so it is proper waterproof.
we, well, I, don’t do this to be uncomfortable.
I spent a day up a highseat in the rain on a cull. It was miserable, but we had to show willing. I have been considering those big umbrellas you get that go against a wall. Basically half an umbrella. Extra bit of kit to carry but if it keeps the snow and rain off.
And yes, if I could wire a kettle in I flipping would. Lol.

Those grooved decking boards turn up everywhere and the older ones are rot-proof. I have some that are over 20 years old and too good to throw away.

If Putin goes full postal all that will be left is cockroaches and decking.

PS I'm not sure where the fist comes into it but what you do in the privacy of your own high seat is your business.

Good effort, I always find it enormously rewarding to shoot deer from a high seat I have made myself, hope it proves productive 👍

Might be tempted to add a tarp with some camo net on top for those rainy days. It does look very nice and add a waterproof cushion and you might be able to rent it out to some wildlife photographers as well.

Good job but would recommend running some strong fence wire across the rungs and up the uprights.
Will save you a broken let if a rung snaps or anti's try to cut through them
