hello lads
i am looking for any ideas for a high power fixed scope for load development must have fine crosshair and not cost the moon
thanks colin

I would be looking at a leupold if on a tight budjet Good glass and a lifetime gte, you cant go wrong most have duplex crosshairs as well.
Sinbad.

if its purely for load developing there will be good light and a solid rest.
range probably 100m's/yds.
may i suggest a fixed x10 zeiss and leupold do one as do others.
not being a common hunting scope you may find one second hand.

what is high power? how much is the moon?
there are a lot of high power (20X plus) scopes for sale second hand on BBS, pigeonwatch, here etc
I have a 6.5-20x40 Leupold which was only £500 new. very fine cross hair. there was one floating around for £350 the other week.
would have thought any of the nikko sterling options in 20x would suit as well. there was a 50x60 on BBS a while ago.
that high enough for you!?

get yourself a sightron aimfieldsports sell them here in the uk
its a great scope for the money, they do a good range of powers and they nearly on par with a nightforce at half the price

hi just loined my self and want to say hi and gather alot of interesting info which there is so thanks

Colin,
if you've not bought something, I'm selling a Leupold 12x40 with front PA, target turrets (with covers) and Leupold Dot reticule (fine crosshairs with tiny central dot) for £240 posted.

If budget is really tight I have a Fox firearms 6-24X50 for load development it is not a fix power though, I think you can get them for about £130, they are Chinese, but seem OK up to 18-20 power, above this the quality of the glass is found out, but for shooting at paper they are fine.
