Flip up lens covers

I did sand down the bottom edge of a butler creek scope cover for this reason, but the current rifle has less clearance and still has the rear open site, so would have to cut away too much I think.

+1, I have the same issue, would love to find a solution to protect the objective lens of my Docter 8x56 - I've cut away part of the rubber surround of the Vortex flip cap, but it still touches the barrel.

I use the std scope bikini with electrical tape around straps before and after each end. Got tired of constant breakage on flip ups of all brands.

Using the BearTooth neoprene cover with flip up ends after many, many years of many, many Butler Creek breakable flip ups. Well happy with it and would recommend to anyone

I have Leupold Alumina caps on three Leupold scopes & one Zeiss - love them for the positive magnet hold & easy opening.
Unfortunately the 56mm one is currently unavailable & I really want to replace the Butler Creek on my S&B with something more robust & user friendly.
