Food Porn

Fallow False Fillet on celeriac and potato rosti with charred pointed cabbage and tender stem broccoli, served with a beef, red wine and blackcurrant jus. It was bloody great! Sauce was beef stock, red wine, blackberry gin, blackcurrant jam with star anise and juniper berries!

Tonight's tea Scallops pea puree Black pud & toast, dauphinoise potatoes Fallow back loin & greens cranberry gravy, Bonoffi pie to finish. Delicious

Normally when I'm cooking for myself I end up eating crisps for tea, but today I pushed the boat out and made a proper 8 hour slow cooked pulled roe shoulder in BBQ sauce. Based on this recipe but with honey & white sugar instead of brown, with no paprika because I've run out, and no garlic/onion powder because, well I don't have any. It was AMAZING

Well after catching nowt fishing the other day , n seeing no fox last night ,

Cockling was on the agenda today ,

Big pan on the fire , and after 30 mins of de shelling , the haul was enough for a few salads ,, n fresh as can be , the smell is awesome, sea in a jug lol

Whilst r ball bags is on full alert after rabbits lol , whilst we prepped um

Apologies for the lack.of plate presentation, but , fingers with white vinegar , is the way to go.
 
Baileys Irish cream cheesecake with grated hazelnut milk chocolate done, into the fridge now for 24 hours. It will be served with Irish coffee after the Easter feast tomorrow.

It's bit early but I think it only prudent that I should make an Irish coffee now just to make sure I still have the knack.
