Hi,
Anyone use a Ford Kuga for shooting and carcass carriage ?
Recently acquired a Kuga ( AWD ) which has 235 R19 45 tyres so relatively low profile and no a big side wall for all terrain type tyre. A quick google search does not seem to show any other than road tyres. Any suggestions if an suitable intermittent tyre exists as ideally don't want to change rim size ?
Equally would rather not use a trailer and was thinking of some form of cargo / hitch system. Anyone use one and what sort of weight capacity ?
So currently use a Ford Ranger. However often, mainly in the winter, I do not have access to drive to the shot sight as all entrances are blocked off to stop undesirables. So extraction is often manual ( although I use a powered golf trolley and barrow conversion ) but have a winch in bed of truck to pull fallow carcass/s up and in.
I get an SUV would be a comprise but if I was to put a fallow inside. I'm not overly bothered about smells and the sledge I currently use is big enough for 2 fallow. It is more the fleas on rabbits ( although they seem extremely rare at the moment) that bothers me.
Experience, advice and thoughts appreciated.
thanks
