Hi folks,

Anyone tried the 25 Cal 100gr Fox bullets yet? Are they any good?

@sikamalc fancy splitting an order (assuming you still have your 25-06?)

Best wishes,

Whats the cost ? I usually shoot 120g, but 100g will do. Not really experimented with this copper stuff yet.

Hi Malc, just experimenting with non-lead myself. (Got a fair bit of the lead hunting bullets my rifles like and using where I can but it seems non-lead is coming). So trying to get loads that work so can be flexible.

I tried the 25 Cal Peregrine 100gr VLR4 (pointy boat tail bullet) but I found they didn't expand at 257 Roberts velocities on muntjac and small fallow (might do better with the extra speed of a 25-06).

So, as that didn't work and Nosler E-tips are basically unobtainium, I thought I'd try the fox stuff.

Drop me a line
Can do you a sample pack if you want
They work very well and come in one of the few factory non lead options for 25-06
We can provide load data and even brass if you want to replicate the factory load.

We also have 87/99/100gr VLR4 in .25
Despite the anomaly above in 257 the overwhelming reports on terminal effect and expansion are extremely positive

I have used both for years on several hundred animals

Ed I have a box of .25cal 100grn fox from you I haven’t tried yet
Any chance I can have a copy of the factory load data as a reference point ?
Or if a load using N160

Please

Paul

Hi Ed,

Maybe the 25 Cal VLR4 do better at 25-06 velocities (probably 300 fps faster at the muzzle than my 257 Roberts) but for me on first year fallow and muntjac, not good expansion.

I'd welcome 100gr Fox data for 257 Roberts +P with RS60, N150 and Ramshot Hunter. (I also have Ramshot TAC but think that might be a bit Quick)
