Fox kills Brown kills Fox.

How long would the poison take to kill the fox? It clearly hasn't moved far!
Why? Was that a young stupid fox or got whacked as the Brown was hungry? either way the poison would have been quick!

Ii`m surmising that the fox was bitten a few times by the snake in the course of killing it and then just 'lay down' My snake bitten dog lasted only 15 minutes or so.
The brown could never eat the fox..I reckon stupid fox is the answer.
Fascinating. I once found a dead Brown in some open sambar country. It was stretched out in a straight line and it was huge....some 8 feet long. Wondering how it died I examined it closely. Surprisingly it was covered in small bite marks from tail to head. It had been in a fight with something and lost. Looking around I found a dead, wild cat some 10 metres away from the snake. Both combatants had died so two losers.
With your our dead fox and snake and my dead snake and cat I do wonder if this sort of thing happens more often than we realize....that when it happens that we just aren't lucky enough to stumble over the results of such a fight.
