Thinking of carrying one in gator to put on the roof, but wondering on any real world reviews on how stable they are? Don't want one attached to rifle. Cheers.

That or a front bag rest, at £23 it’s worth a punt if it’s no good for what you want as long as you don’t f*#k it you could probably sell it on here for £15.

I'd be inclined to use a support bag, much more versatility and moldable to the rifle.

I used a fortune cookie type bag and sat the rifle in the v notch, nice and steady

I'm somewhat sure, that you cannot let go of the rifle while using mini tripod like that. Rifle will fall on it's side.

Don't know if you even want to let go, but waiting for longer periods I think it would be very beneficial to free your hands for spotting etc.

Regarding support bags, the current light fills are unbelievably light! Like the Lite Polymer in Cole-Tac bags (200 grams per litre). While almost as stable as heavier fills, light fill will completely change how you can use the bag. I'm sure people involved in PRS shooting etc. can advice what is available in UK.
