Hi looking for advice on possibility of building a chiller or buying a fridge.

I have access to insulated panels quite easily and would like to build if a possibility a small chiller to be housed in my garage. Only looking to house 4 roe or so at a time. What fridge unit will I need to do this what is minimum size I could get away with for the chiller?

Am I better looking gor a suitable standalone unit such as the cool game?

Thanks

If you got the budget then get a coolgame. Fantastic kit and properly designed for the job. If not fit a rail into a larder fridge. Thats how I started with two 1800mm fridges for roe. Or if you really want to build a chiller then Andrew at coolgame will spec and sell you a chiller unit.

I managed to get my hands on a couple of industrial twin door fridges from old boozers shutting down! would fit four Roe in nicely with a homemade hanging rail! have had 3 reds in one just. If I ever get my chance to settle into a property i can invest in with the right outdoor space for everyone to leave me alone i drew up quite a simple design.

Small concrete pad brick the bottom up drain in corner, timber frame kingspan150mm insulation and a cooler unit off your local cooling company should see you right! make sure you bring your interior floor up the walls 150mm then if you ever take the job to where you wish to sell straight into the food chain the EHO will pass it off. Centry board the walls make sure it can all be washed down into a good drainage system, and always think about where you may take it in the future as you dont want to be rebuilding.

Another option is the classic fridge van, but when i priced it up by the time you buy the fridge back clad it all out in some way, and then you have to change the cooler unit or at least change the power and motors to your house supply, building a new unit that suits your own needs seems a lot easier!
