Full moon and Foxes .. Good or bad ?

I had been out a few nights prior when the moon was very bright and saw nothing but hares and the resident, ever-flourishing herd of badgers. However, I went out last night (moon still very full) and parked the vehicle in the deep shadow of a tall hedgerow with plenty of trees. I didn't call but instead sat and waited. Watched the local flock of badgers for a bit and eventually spotted a vixen crossing the field; she took no notice of my squeaks or cat-calling so had to wait for her to stop, which she did.

In my fairly limited experience I have found that they do move and can be shot on moonlit nights but are far less bold in general and tend to stick to the shadows themselves. Similar tactics needed I think...

And what a herd of badger you have. Impressive.

Congrats! I was out last night too. Not a friggin dickie bird😞. I saw a dozen hares and one badger and called it a night at 3am. The foxes are there as the farmer has seen them over recent days. As they say, you can’t see or shoot them from home and shows willing. Particularly after dispatching 6 foxes on two previous visits 3 triples. To be gifted a case of lager and £40 of prime rib of beef😉

I was out with the intention of bagging a couple of hares for the pot as its hare season over here in northern Ireland , I could see them with the thermal but couldn't get near them because of the dam cows, I was leaving and the farmer came out for a chat and told me a fox had been seen on his other property, I tucked in the shadows of a hedge a couple of blasts from clausen no4 call spotted with thermal bang flop 108m 55grn v-max through the engine room, happy farmer.

With a combination of it being tradition that my mate and I go foxing on a Friday and it being too hot during the day to anything anyway we will be venturing forth in search of Charlie tomorrow evening.
Now I see that tomorrow is be a Super Moon. (Really big 'coz we're close to it and a full moon to-boot)

Thoughts ?
Funny thing years ago my mate and I used to ho every Friday night and had more on a moon lite night 🤔

Its actually a small vixen cub , pic makes them look bigger.
Yes it came to the caller , cub call was playing for only a couple of minutes.
Like I said I get all my foxes due to the Foxpro.
