Hi. Have bought the above in March this year- has worked well until today- hand set saying the collar has lost coms- plenty of power in hand set and collar- I have removed collar and rejoined them. Still saying not coms from collar- any suggestions? I hoping something simple and not faulty collar as only 7 months old.

I have also since rebooted collar by connecting to power source and pressing power button 4 times and left it outside for a while to find GPS. Still not working.

Is the collar continually flashing? If it is its not picking up satellite, I've just had one go same way, only 5months old, likely the coaxial antenna wire broken, the GPS antenna is badly positioned I think, everytime the dogs squeezes under a fence it catches and pulls

Hi. The collar has 1 continually flashing light on it. - I have never really noticed if this flashes normally or not TBH.

It should blink in 2's or 3's when receiving satellite signal, if you look on garmin website it tells you how to check collar for damage, but chances are it won't be visible and you'll have to return for repair, they told me they don't have replacements until Nov

Just checked it and is blink 4 times, then a very short stop. I will contact seller in the morning- don’t really want to open it up as could invalidate any warranty- stalking Wednesday and Thursday. Dog will definitely be staying on the lead. Thanks for the help 👍

Not helpful for your next stalk, but have you considered ecollar training your dog? Some of the collars have a good couple of miles radius.
Unless you're in Wales, where they're banned. 🙄

E collars are banned in Wales unfortunately, if used correctly they can be a useful tool. My youngest GWP has an extremely high prey drive, but is very good with livestock just does hunt on a bit. Especially if it gets behind a fox so I always run her with the GPS system even when I not hunting so I can keep an eye on what direction she is heading. In areas with high deer numbers she is always used on a long lead for any follow up. However she did pull me over once and get free with long line attached.which was not great but she found her deer which was still very mobile so did work out well in the end. Never want her hunting dragging a line again though. Or running without GPS.

Replacement collar received in the post today, good service from the supplier and Garmin. Had a free slip lead too 👍.
