Garmin Alpha 200i K - screen freezing

Been using the Garmin Alpha 200IK handset and T5 collar on my GWP for a while now- have downloaded the Garmin Explorer App onto my iPhone and can save track over ok. No issues

- However if I try live view on my phone whilst tracking the Garmin hand set freezes up , I have to hold the start button to get it to refresh. I have since plugged handset into laptop and updated hand set software to see if this is the problem-

Handset still freezing if I open app on phone Any suggestions, ?

Hello, I had a problem where my collar wasn’t holding a charge for more than a week or two. Seemed like a software problem more than electronics. Anyway, called garmin Uk and they were exceptional. Probably the best customer service I have ever received from any company.
I was expecting some kind of lengthy wait on the phone, but my pain was over very quickly.

I used garmin for years and years and it seemed the more modern and funky they got, the more problematic they got.

My advice is to keep to the base model, it works and that’s all you need it to do.

This unit is working fine until I open the garmin app whilst tracking.

99.% of the time I use the actual hand set screen to keep track off the dog- but handy to use phone if handset under a coat or similar.
