General grabber at3 tyres

Alan there seems to be little material difference between the two other than the cost. Most stockists seem only to hold the Sport actually which so far seems to be an excellent tyre. I am utterly anal about tyres and for me the BFG AT is the best. I've had quite a few sets on different cars and just can't fault them. They aren't a mud terrain of course so don't expect them to haul you out of a bog. But this time I just couldn't afford them so any tyre was going to be second best for me - BFG set a high bar.

So far all I can say is that I think they might produce a slightly increased noise over the pathetic Dueler HTs I had on from the factory. But it's not a hum, drone or drum. It's more a sort of whoosh at higher speed. But so slight that I can still hear the digital clock ticking. At £110 a corner, fitted I really am exceedingly pleased.

My wife had to turn back this morning in her Corolla which is good in snow and ice. I got out and walked the dog up to the quarry. I did struggle to stand up actually. I got home, jumped in the Hilux and went back. Yes I put it into 4x4, but other than that it went straight up.

In answer to costs, I found the AT3 to be more expensive in every case over the sport by some margin. However, sizes make a ridiculous difference to price. I can't account for that. I wanted 265.65.17. 256 70.17 were considerably cheaper. Go figure.

Hi Chris.
Did not realise you are a Yorkshire lad. That explains it. We are slightly out of phase with the rest.
