GnT?

It’s gone 6pm somewhere in the world!
First trip over and as I deplaned from an overnight flight at Heathrow I was greeted at Bombay offering free GnT - at 0630.

Ive never been one to buy into the no drinks before noon - but 0630 did seem a bit early for a first of the day.

Drunk an Iran Air 747 dry of Moet' after being evacuated during the 1978 uprising, had to spend those Rials.... 4 sick bags under the seat in front, hell these Jumbos have good brakes!!

My late father used to drink a bottle of gin in a day. And you'd be hard put to even know. But then as he was an alcoholic only when on a "bender" otherwise he never drank at all. Not even beer or wine. Aged seventeen I once managed a bottle of gin in twenty hours whilst on a ship from Copenhagen to Tilbury. And ever since can't stand the smell or taste of it. Those that can still enjoy it are lucky. I can't.

Bacardi 1976. 1 suit, 1 set of kitchen venetian blinds ruined.

When you take a redeye flight from the US, you can be wining and dining at 0630, if you bother to translate the time on-board to UK time.

It's more a question of when/whether you stop drinking before you land...............
