Hello guys - just thought you might like to see one of the gold medal antler sets that I bought here a while back from some members. Just mounted it last Saturday, so still a bit wet. Will finish it up in a few weeks so will post it again if anyone is interested.View attachment 1958

Hi, the paperwork that came with it had a score of 131. Not especially heavy but scoring high on all areas.

FINNISH Is IT GETTING MEASURED FIRST OR IS THE TAXIDERMIST GOING TO ESTIMATE THE SIZE.

Hi, Choc - I am the taxidermist, and when I say finish it - after three weeks when everything is dry I will attend to the mouth, nose and eye areas with any filling/ paint etc. The nose will also need the nodules build up before colouring and texturing. It was measured before hand and came in at a gold medal @ 131 points. It is not possible to measure an antler set after it is mounted - though a fair estimation can be granted. Cheers, Bill

Monarch i was talking about the post by Finnish who says he is also getting a head mount done but dosnt know if its gold or silver yet. Just wondering how he was getting it assesed

Hi, Choc - sorry my mistake. Regards the bronze medal antlers - I usually buy high Silver or Golds but if yours are nicely proportioned I would be interested in buying them.
