Looking at a garmin dog collar.

Can I link them with a garmin watch instead of my phone does anyone know?

I have the Garmin Alpha 200i handset and a T5 collar . The wife’s Garmin fenix 6x pro watch will pick up the maps / dog etc - she still has to have handset with her in the rucksack.

I dont know if you can link them directly, but it is possible via either a phone or the handheld gps device.

It is used by quite a few birdhunters

Yes but handset must still be on, but can be popped away safe. But untill you need to track the dog, leave it turned off, and just use the handset. Obviously turn the collar on when you put it on the dog....don't ask how I learnt that one!
