Green tomatoes

i have quite a few green tomatoes that will never ripen does any one have a recipe for chutney or any other use for them

I have them sliced dusted with seasoned flour and fried. Not the healthiest of options but they compliment a nice breakfast. I had such a poor result last year with tomatoes that I didn't bother this year. All the faff with watering and etc. they are cheaper if bought when in season in the shops.

I have had more tomatoes ripen after I cut down on watering them to just twice a week
I did put some in a box with a banana for two weeks and that was a waste of time so just popped them back in the greenhouse and after a week they turned red

I can check with Mrs G when she gets home, but I believe this is the recipe she now uses, whether to deal with a glut in the summer or with unripened late season produce:

The lovely greens recipe is lovely. Add some jalapeño too.

This one is good
