Greenman Forge - Beware- Money lost

Just added this to the Emberleaf/GMF discussion

Anyone know Jeff personally? I’m proper ****ed at this - You will now see lots of posts where he has taken money for knife orders and not made them and now refuses to answer our messages and refuses to answer any messages on his various pages (his music site is Greenman Dawn - a Blues group)

There’s a growing number of us (I’ve counted at least 20 so far) that he has blocked (including myself) and it would seem has no interest in responding or giving us our money back.

I placed my order in Aug 20’ for three knives for £560 (paid on PayPal) which despite numerous messages stating family issues even when new knives were being auctioned on FB, now beyond the 180 days (by a long way) I cannot get my money back.

I wasn’t a fan of Emberleaf after seeing their behaviour towards Jeff, but if I’d known I would t of been getting my knives from him - I would have ordered from them.

It’s an absolute ****-take that he now blocks so many of us that have paid. Gutless and obviously a real measure of that man.

Money claim online I recall it's called - used it a couple of times in the past with good outcome. One word of advice though, if you are successful with your claim then uplift your judgement to the High Court & use a firm of enforcement officers as they have significantly greater power than county court bailiffs - much better chance of getting your back

Sounds like he has ripped everyone off. This behaviour disgusts me. I’ve been caught once in the past when I’ve payed for something and never received it. It’s just a shame good hard working people put there trust in others to sometimes be taken advantage of. Scum.

It makes my blood boil…. I got ripped off with a pair of custom waders back in the 1990s, £250 gone…..

Unfortunately mine was on a different forum. As you do flicking through classifieds and something takes your fancy. Get it payed and wait for it to arrive. It never did. They did ban the guy as it wasn’t the first time apparently but as you say that was a £200 knife I never got.

I'd deffo be taking the face to face route if he was within reasonable distance, scum like this are empowered when people take it lying down but wouldn't be long reverting to their true cowardly colours when confronted.

One thing I must say is my mate got one off him (although it did take about 5months) but it’s absolutely sh*te, the metal rusts at the slightest hint of moisture and can’t hold an edge for one gralloch, in fact the whole edge of the blade at one part was rolled over

Very very poor quality, they look great and it was nice to hold but the metal is shocking, it’s now rusting away in a drawer

They either got a good one or there telling lies, it’s genuinely the worst knife I’ve seen for blunting and rusting
