HAD Plymouth

Very interesting - Devon & Cornwall Police have resisted a formal HAD scheme up until now. Is this a sign that the situation might at last be changing?
I found it very interesting that the HAD operative had to wait for the ARV to turn up to stop the traffic. What was the thinking behind that decision, wasn't there any other officers available to simply stop the traffic or were their particular skill set required for a reason?

all the emergency services are so stretched I suspect that they were the only resource available

Very true Charles but when they can see the money saved by using the right highly trained experienced volunteers with more tools in the box than there AR offices that sometimes make the powers to be look at other options, probably better lobbying your PCC than the constabulary.

Deer around Plymouth are a nightmare... As Paul said in the clip they are now very 'resident' at Wrigleys... To the point of being a pest on the roads. Unfortunately thats a self made problem though as staff have fed them in the past and the deer know they are nice a safe there..... The biggest down side to that through is the fact that with no predators or culling they are not loosing the weaker ones, and the herd is not in the best of conditions by a long way.

If anyone is in and around the area, and would like a hand then please let me know.... I am looking to help and support, not take over grounds.
