Hawke Dedicated Calibre Reticles

Hi All,

Has anyone tried any of the models of scope from Hawke with the Rimfire .22 LR Subsonic and .17Hmr reticle?
HAWKE UK | Vantage 4-16x50 AO Rimfire .17 HMR
Any number of scopes and magnifications can be fitted then aim off, count down mil dots etc to hit the target but I am wondering for sheer simplicity do they work and how well?
I may be answering my own question as I can't find any second hand ones🤔

Thanks.

I have a hawke 3-9 x50 subsonic on my cz455 .22lr and with Winchester subsonic 42gr it works well thanks Rob

The Hawke Sidewinder 4x16x56 is pretty much bang on for a rimmy with a 50 yard zero with one dot holdover at 75yards and two for 100.

Cant remember the HMR but got the reticule breakdown for both on the PC. Will upload them first thing.

I have one.
Took it off recently and returned to a normal scope.
They tiny crosses are difficult to see. The ranges rarely correspond.
Since putting the normal scope back on I shoot better.
Your milage might be different though.
Mine is for sale cheap if you want to try it.
22sub sonic. 3-9x40 IR.

Got the newer sf one 22lr so far so good , for the money lockable turret went for sf with the aims of getting the new pard , red green ret if required, glass good enough for anything you would want to do with a rimmy all for 250 quid ,the reticle true on 16 power so how much use riding about bunny bashing !!!!??? but laid up looking over warren with rangefinder all good , the choice is yours as they say

Just read the original post - sorry no experience with the dedicated rimmy reticules but the Sidewinder is a good shout as an all round unit as a comparison.

Did this a few years ago but found it to be quite reliable using Winny subs in my old Savage Mk2.

Cant find the HMR one - probably because its laser flat out to how far I will take a sensible shot.

I’ve just put the 4-12 on my .22 for the money I really rate it illuminated ReT is good and glass ain’t half bad I’d recommend it

I like the dedicated reticle Hawke 'scopes, they work well on my CZ rimfires. I've just upgraded both my .22LR and .17HMR to the newer 4 - 16 x 50, 30mm tube/side parallax versions. Prevously I had the fixed parallax .22 model (3 - 9 x 50) and the 4 - 12 x 50 AO version on my HMR. The new ones are very good for the price. The previous models were fine as well but the side parallax adjustment is easier than the AO and the higher magnification is also a welcome addition.

P.S. Once I've got the boxes out of the loft I'll be putting the surplus 'scopes up for sale on here.

Have Endurance 30 SF 6-24x50 .223/.308 IR - use it on my .17 HMR and works well - virtually flat to 120 yards. Adjustable parallax right on the button
Also have Vantage 4-12x50 .22 LR subsonic IR on .177 FAC air rifle - good at ranges of 50 yards up but have to turn down magnification for shorter ranges. - no parallax adjustment. I like the small illuminated cross reticle.
