My new HC65 arrived today. Awesome!

The recurring problem I have had with head torches is the cable failing at the hinge flex point...LedLenser always have replaced them with no quibble but my next one was going to be the LedLenser MH11 which does away with the cable and I see your HC65 is similarly configured and specified but less costly...hmmm...let us know how you get on with it.

The Nitecore got the nod because of its metal chassis.

Like you I have had cables, clips and ancilliaries fail on plastic headtorches and I do not give my cheapo Energizer headtorch a long life expectancy, so i picked this as its quality replacement.

The other plus feature to a torch like the HC65 is that it shares the same battery as my Pard.

So I am covered for all eventualities with a couple of charged 18650s in my pocket.

Have a look at Decathlon a mate and I both bought a rechargeable one for work. Three light levels and red (red first). Good battery life and charges from a usb. Mine has been dropped sat on etc and is still going strong. I don’t often feel the need to use full power so it tends to last well between charges

+1 on this I bought one a few week’s ago about £20. There were more fancy options available too

i have an old lenser H7 ...small , bright , focus flood to spot , and takes 3xAAA batteries which can get anywhere , but do a rechargeable version
