Headrest gun holder for truck

Hi all,

Looking for a gun holder that fits on the headrest of my truck which allows me to stand the guns vertically in the back for quick access whilst driving around the farm

See a lot across the pond but nothing over here. Anyone have one or has anyone 3D printed something?

I bought a cheap one of Amazon but doesn’t fit my truck

Get the V shape quad grips and mount them horizontally on the head rest, if the head rest has two bars you're laughing, if its single you'll need to sandwich the bar between the holder and something else

By who, why and when?
Besides, the OP clearly says he wants it for when carrying firearms around the farm. ie, private land.
So, even if it had been "stopped" (which I doubt) it wouldn't affect him. You can carry your firearms however you want on private land. (And in public as it happens, provided you have "reasonable excuse" for what you're doing).

Make a v clamp on a piece of timber and secure it with the front passenger seat belt over the plank and under the barrel (good enough to hold the baby seat in place)

I have one in my Land Rover that is just a quad bike one turned on its side, works very well for getting them out quickly. Though not much room above the 243 and have clonked the sunroof a couple time. Would be easier if I had back doors but I went for the 90 instead lol

I will find the brand I used later this evening when home

I have found the listing. I got the two but only mounted one in the car so have the other lying around. only complaints I have is the nuts were in imperial so was a but of a pick to tighten the nuts and the head rest post is a little skinny for the bracket but once tight there is very little movement would probably fit something to stop it if i were to do it again but doesnt bother me enough.

Mine lay across the back seat when on the farm as you have to stop get out (and sticks if you use them) with the ranger the sticks lived in a drain pipe strapped to the truckman top.

These days the sticks sit between the front seats they come out first then the rifle, you need a good bit of luck to have close quarry stand while you open the door take the keys to stop the ping ping get the rifle sticks then shut the door lol

for the 17 it is short enough to fit in the footwell beside me and just gets shot out of the window albeit left handed half the time which is a learning curve

Would the Autoslip from Ogden's be of use? I know it is not vertical, but unless you are shooting from inside, you'll be getting out anyways.

Not sure how nice your truck is, but when I had a jimny, the rifle lay on the dashboard (private land only) and I had a padded plank between the passenger headrest and dashboard and shot out the passenger door window

KIS.....I found this works well for me. A cheap and simple 'pipe clip' screwed to the 'dash'. Motoring around the farms. Quick and faff-free access when required.

I Have this an doesn’t fit, also the Velcro is coming away from the mount so after a couple of uses I can see it coming off

Lay it on the back seat on a thick blanket as you have to open the back door with your system now lol

2 people, 3-4 rifles. Can’t lay them all on the back seat. Having them mounted vertically in the back I or the passenger can reach back and grab one rather than getting out the truck
