Heavy duty / professional vacuum packer

How big a haunch can you fit in the buffalo packer? Up to a typical size Roe? Thanks.

I've got a Buffalo and it actually works even if you have the bag outside the vacuum chamber. I found this out by accident, I wanted to pack a Roe haunch but didn't think I could vacuum seal it as it was too big to go in the chamber. I thought I'd simply seal one end of the roll then put the haunch in, holding the bagged haunch outside the chamber I put the open end of the bag under the sealer bar and closed the lid. I was intending to use the seal only button however I pressed the vacuum button by mistake, to my surprise it started to vacuum the air out of the bag. I think its because the surface of the bag roll has small indents on it which allowed the air to be vacuumed out even though the lid was closed on it.

Considering the pollution, from plastics, in the world, today, what is so wrong with the good old fashion Butcher Paper? It is easy to use, don't have to wait for it to cool down, Bio-degradable, can be written on with a pencil, re-sealable, etc., etc. I brought a roll with me, when I moved here, from the US, and will be needing to find where I can get more, once I am able to get back into the hunt again. I will be, primarily, gathering for my own use, but I do put a lot of it away. ;)

Shelf life, remove the air increase the use by date.

I have the Eiffel freshpak pro dealer and I don’t need to let it cool between bags?🤔

I do a roe, burger it or whatever then have the rolls handy cut bag to size insert the burgers and set it going , meanstwhile I cut another bag .... once first is sealed remove, seal the bottom of second bag , insert next batch of burgers then set it going again ... repeat

Really never had an issue as your describing and regularly do g 14-30 bags a sitting

Wow, that's weird. After sealing the light flashed on mine for a while before you can then start it off again to vacuum the next bag. Maybe 20-30 seconds and is a bit of a pia as, like you, I'll bag everything up then vac and seal them in one go. I've just had a look on their website too:

The Eiffel Freshpack Pro, is a fantastic vacuum sealer. No other gives you the benefit of sealing with automatic operation, no rest time needed between seals,

Off to make a phone call!

Send me a message see what they say

The only issue with mine I have is used to suck and seal without any intervention by me .... now mine needs to have pushed down slightly to get it to start sealing as I doesn’t do it automatically any more

Here's the update from Fresherpack who seem to be the UK distributors and where I bought mine:

The original freshpack pro did have no rest time but now the factory updated the circuit board for a short rest time to avoid the plastic casing melting.

I do note that they seem to have updated their website today and removed the "no rest time" statement - it was definitely there yesterday when I looked! Mine's about 4 years old though, so I can hardly ask to return it!
