German 4a is perfect hunting scope - usable in low light, against heavy foliage etc etc.

The fine sniper scopes etc are designed for fit young snipers etc.

I personally don’t like illuminated reticles as I have a stigmatism in my shooting eye.

Hello, I got over this on one of my Hawke Scopes by taping on a 37mm 4 X Close up lens , You can buy singles or sets in 2 4 8 10 for about a Tenner, 37 mm should fit over most scopes eye bell, The clarity is clear without using glasses and i could wind back the Diopter to half/ 3/4 way

I sold a mk 4 Leupold for the very reason that it/I run out of diopter adjustment.

Hello, Yes that was the same as an old Hawke scope i had, on fitting one of those lenses by 4 X with sparky tape round the eye bell it worked fine and i could turn back the diopter so have plenty more adjustment
