Good afternoon all

Does anyone know how this Heym SR21 bolt comes apart ?
Photos for reference.

Many thanks in advance

When I'm storing the bolt separate to my rifle I press the little stud in which allows the bolt handle to rotate and releases the compression of the firing pin spring. I've never dismantled my bolt further than that, hope it helps.

Many sleeps since then

The issue with your bolt I recall was the set screw which locks the firing pin protrusion adjustment was loose

Withdraw the sear using a paralell Jaw vice to hold the sear securely and without causing damage to the sides

Rotate the bolt unscrewing it until the detent prevents further rotation (whilst pulling it so the sear is clear of the bolt tube notch / cocking helical surface)

Press detent and continue rotating (pressing detent each time) until the cocking piece and firing pin becomes detached from the internal thread of the bolt tube

Many thanks for this - done!!

I am in need of any assistance anyone may provide. I removed my bolt from my rifle and de-cocked the firing pin spring by depressing the little stud and rotating the bolt down. I've done this previously without mishap, when returning the bolt to the rifle, by reversing the process. Not on this occasion! The bolt handle refuses to rotate up when I have the stud compressed. Any assistance would be most welcome! For some reason I cannot attach the images I took.

You need a vice with parallel jaws or something to attach to the cocking sear

Withdraw it sufficiently to cock the bolt and turn to cocked position

Easier with parallel vice that won’t mark the sear causing it to drag on the shroud and action inlet raceway

I can’t remember exactly (it’s been a while since I had a heym in) but the cyclindrical detent may need pushing in to get to end stage cocked position too

Thank you Ronin for your much appreciated assistance! I have managed to solve the issue based on your advice, but I had to go at it slightly differently. I used a piece of cord around the silver bar (Klenchblaize's earlier image) with the red directional arrow. I had the cord fixed on a piece of baton so I could stand on it and pull against the spring pressure (took both hands). Once that was extended, an extra pair of hands (my son) rotated the bolt handle and depressed the small cylindrical button which allowed the bolt into the cocked position. So all good. A lesson learned. :tiphat:
