Finally taking the plunge and buying a 4k LRF for my .270 Tika T3.

Seems like the best deal at the moment is with Blackwood (which includes an IR torch). Link: HikMicro Alpex 4K LRF A50EL Day Night Optical Scope

I've got a pic rail and so presumably all I need is a pic mount and a torch mount.

So, my questions are:

1. is the torch good enough? Or will i need to upgrade asap?
2. Does anyone have suggestions for the mounts? My budget is tight so looking for real value for money!

Appreciate these questions have been asked 1,000 times...

Although i do use a solaris laser with mine, i would think it will work more than good enough with that torch that Ian supplies with it, i say that because mine will also work well with a B22 torch ie 200-300 yds, full field of view (which you don't get with any of the best lasers).
I have mine mounted at the front of the scope on a weaver mini raiser rail and a high 1" scope mount with aluminium can shims.

Just about all tha adjustable mounts that i have used, just don't hold position, and its a pain alway's having to re adjust them, -----a 1" scope mount with the drinks can shims may to 20 minuites to set perfect, but it will hold position ----just put the right amount of shims in move slightly left or right in conjunction with spinning the torch until perfect.

As per @Warbucks suggested , I use an adjustable mount (Nightmaster) but I've only had mine on my 22-250 . Ludicrous Lumens sells a similar design.

My concern would lie around the 2" eye relief , recoil on a 270,is significantly different to a 22-250 .

I'm sure someone will be along who uses an Alpex on a similarly recoiling rifle to enlighten us .

Even better is a Burris Signature Zee-ring, which comes with adjustable inserts.

A have a night blaster torch and a pbirx torch. Friend just bought a hikmicro 4k and tried both torches and they work just as well as each other out to 2/300 yards.
