Does anyone know when the new Hikmicro Alpex Pro will be arriving in the UK shops as they are still being advertised as on back order.

The Hik rep at the Stalking Show said they were being released on sale following Tuesday ie yesterday....but all the dealers have back orders to be fulfilled, so none on general sale.

Could be usual marketing guff......but a lot of places seem to be on 2-3 month back order......

I received notification a couple days ago that they are due to land any day and I should expect delivery of mine either end of this wee, beginning of next. Pinch of salt taken with that but we shall see.

Chap at Elite told me all first release will go to pre-orders and they should re-stock in 3 weeks. They do look good, although refresh rate when panning is not quite there same as the lite and 4k.

I suspect the lower focal length and objective lens coupled with higher F stop will benefit from more IR

I think many on here will be interested in the first / last light ability (without IR) for stalking. My instinct is the new model will be lighter, have a less grainy daytime or illuminated image BUT not be quite as good at first / last light as the 4K.
