It’s a confidence thing with me, I’ve used amax for years, accurate in my my guns and hit like a sledge hammer, only runners I’ve had was down to me.

25 grn N140 in mine. Rem 7.5 primers. Lapua match cases. 26" 1:8.
I found that terminally A max behaved the same way as V max. Good bullet if your barrel likes them.

It’s a 1:8 I had fitted to a Tikka 590 action, 21.2gr (or thereabouts of n135) giving 2,730fps.

That's not to shabby velocity wise. It's probably still north of 2500@200yds??
Efficient on that charge weight too.

I have a Howa 1500 1:8 twist currently running 55gr hornady v max, im just starting to reload my own brass and have been recommended Hogdons CFE223.
Do you have any thoughts on that powder

For 55 grain bullets I use nothing else other than Vit N133. For 55g Blitzkings in my 1:8 223 I I use 24.1 grains which give 3200 fps.

personally Ive found the blitzking every bit as good if not better than vmax, certainly in my 223 and 22br they’re more accurate than vmax.
