All ideas welcome, sweltering this morning, I wish to avoid short sleeves due to bugs

A little uncouth but motocross/mountain bike jerseys are great, long sleeved, well ventilated with the fine mesh design, they wick away moisture and dry quickly, non restrictive fit & silent when moving.

Just have to look for the plain, darker coloured ones.

Look no further, although beware that the sizing is on the large side. I have medium and usually wear L or XL in other clothing

I always find the German green moleskin/ cotton soft shirts comfortable in the heat and warm in the cold soft and silent. Not as cheap as they used to be .

I've got one of these as my go to summer stalking top. It's very stretchy so gives a close fit (which some more rotund stalker's may not like) but it blends in well, is very thin and cooling but keeps the biting bugs off.

Years ago I discovered the Harkila Herlet Tech Shirt (Willow Green) and managed to pick up several at bargain bottom prices - they are outstanding and have been my stalking shirts ever since! Hard wearing, well ventilated, 2 chest pockets and they wick away sweat quickly and dry when washed very quickly. Very highly recommended.
