How cool is this!?!

Mobile deer larder and butchery unit. Just park it up on a farmyard somewhere, connect extension lead to power socket and hosepipe to water inlet and you're good to go!
Carcass hoist, hot & cold running water, chiller, freezer, etc etc.
I guess if you wanted full portability you could even mount a generator on the drawbar and a water tank on the roof.

(As you can see, I started my cull this morning :smug:)

That would depend on what the temperature is set at........hmmmm?.....i will add an :british:

Love it btw, perfect for blowfly aussie summers.

Very!
I note you describe it specifically as for deer, but would you/could you process any other animals through it?
Yes you could. But then you could run into legal issues. I will continue to process my (not quite so legal) home killed lambs and mutton in my old facility for that reason. I want to keep the new unit all above board because I sell venison.

Good to see equipment like this VSS, ideal for "domestic" use. I see Private Eye has been raising the issue of the ever diminishing number of small abattoirs (due to the legal insistence of having a vet present), it's a shame that there isn't a bit more flexibility for low volume/small farm work to fill the gap and prevent a long journeys (for the animals) when culling small numbers - you could have the beginning of a fine service there!......."TT's Butchery service, fast and local" - I can see it now!:tiphat:

Got it. Figured it would be something like that.

Whole thing looks an excellent piece of equipment. In the nicest possible way I’m very envious.

How does that work when getting all the relevant approval for selling to the public? It's a really cool idea, saves any issues with planning permission at least

Very tidy! Thought you had been quiet for a while. Obviously busy!
Thanks!
Yep, been pretty busy. Just put the finishing touches in yesterday - stainless steel shelving, hooks to hang aprons etc, storage unit for product packaging, all that kind of stuff.
EH inspector coming this afternoon.

Mightily impressive as mentioned. Hope all goes well with EH.

In the process of registering as a food business with my local authority. Something that ought to have been simple, but am widening scope to cover supply to public.

No major concern though, just a handy back up / alternative route to game dealer.
