How many knifes do you take stalking ?

Bear in mind that the police frown upon us having knives. Before the nay sayers jump in one thing that has come out on the report on the raid was that the Police officers were unhappy that several "large" knives were found in my desk and a bookcase. Note they were at home, all closed of sheathed, and there are no small people ...................................... whoops sorry children here or even that visit here :old: unless one considers ........................................................................

These "large" knives were in fact the usual stalking and general use knives once found in the home of any boy scout. Just be aware that having several in the vehicle would be a very good reason for your arrest and detention at their pleasure.

My house is full of large knives, loads in the kitchen ,and a collection of knives, also our commercial kitchen below is full, all farm staff carry knives, I also attend knife shows, YES Knife shows where there are big knives. I also speak to police officers, so I think I may be one of the nay Sayers .

Agreed , everyone on our farm carries a knife , they'd be little use without it ! Again ,loads in the kitchen a couple of butchery sets , in my truck I've got a machete , a bolo cleaver and axes which I use for clearing brush . I also carry a multitool all the time too . My fao is very friendly , and on the various times the police have Benin whilst after pikeys or following a break in , they've never cared at all about knives .

one of each in belt pack, one of each spare in truck. top one is small enough for tunneling out the pelvic stuff.

I have a Russell folder in my pocket, an ancient, 3.5" bladed Solingen-made fixed blade in my pack, a Martini 4+ inch on my hip, and a 6" Puma bowie also in my pack. Lately, I was given a Baracuta folder that takes disposable 3" autopsy blades and I've used that for skinning. It is very good but too darned sharp. I have a Green River, 1800's-type skinner that actually is more controllable. For Christmas I was given a Kershaw knife with three interchangeable blades: saw, skinner, utility. I'm looking at a Boker that I've never worn sitting on my desk. I have two bone handled Case XX folding knives that I seldom carry.

I have too many knives.~Muir

5" Boker Recincho on my belt, 3" buck Vantage rabbit paunching knife in my coat pocket because that's where it lives, and that's it.
I take an old blunt Nieto where ever I'm skinning and an EKA swingblade to unzip the legs. I gave up using the EKA in the field because it doesn't hold an edge. The Boker is far superior.

Out stalking this afty went and picked my girl up after and off to local shop which is out in the country..

Walk in and two police officers there whilst in full view is my knife i forgot i was carrying..

Easily done..

Swiftly removed and inside jacket the garlic bread and beer were thrown in for a hasty retreat..

When im out hill stalking i carry three.. If you loose one your still left with 2

You'd get some great stock from those bones, only time I've seen more meat on the bone after a joint has been boned out....!
