Best I've witnessed was all 3 stalks in one morning - and I shot another deer myself! It's a bit of a lottery really, and so it should be as that is deer stalking!
I hate the fact that some deer parks guarantee DSC 2 as it can give element 1 (stalk deer) no credibility. They are not all like that thankfully.
Not all AW's charge fees either! If you have your own ground, I don't charge, other than any expenses I might incur such as fuel to get to you.
Shop around!

A bit of a lottery! The whole DSC 2 has become a money spinning con by the Associations and some AW's (I'm not directing this at you Monkey Spanker!). You say some deer parks guarantee DSC 2 - you do the course are taken out and from zero to hero with just three kills is a joke! All in a week?!
I have seen this in the marine industry. There was a time when to get a Yacht Masters Certificate it could take years of experience or certainly a couple of seasons work. Then came the 'fast track' from novice to Yacht Master in not much more than a week! The result was a good certificate totally belittled and a further certificate then required, the Class 4 which did require real time at sea, to give the mariner some credence.
The DSC 1 & 2 seems to going down the same road, what will it be next a DSC Masters?! There have already been murmurings that in order to be granted a Firearms Certificate DSC 2 would be required. I'm sure some firearms licencing departments would just jump at the chance to refuse a certificate unless the applicant had jumped through all three hoops, 1, 2 and Masters.
Why we always have to make life so difficult for ourselves in this country is beyond me. Oh, my mistake I nearly forgot, red tape to create money grabbing scams.
I hate to admit it but the answer would be to take a lesson from our European neighbors. As in Germany and France a fully defined and comprehensive course and exam which negates the opportunistic vagaries of our current system.
I started stalking 32 years ago the old way by shadowing another stalker and learning through that practical experience before I ever got a chance to take my first shot but I do appreciate that this is not practical for most people any longer. It's only in recent years (8 years ago) due to our ever increasing paper society that I did my DSC 1, because I had to. I don't regret it, it was a good course, met a lot of like minded people who I now stalk with but the course left me half full or half empty. It was incomplete and to go the whole way which I feel the course should have done in the first place I would now need to go down this money drain to just get signed off for level 2!
Unless forced by bureaucracy I have no intention of doing my Level 2 especially as we don't need it to go stalking and there are many stalkers out there who feel the same and who do it professionally as I do.
So to the future, one course consisting of theory and practical examination leading to one certificate. The Deer Stalking Certificate or The Hunting Certificate, call it what you will?
