This isn’t just self harm, it has the potential to harm others too.

If you think this is gloating you are a sad person. I don't need to be seen as anything so pathetic as you suggest, but then maybe that is what you seek ?
It quite simply points, as I have said a number of times, that Vegan/Fruitarian or whatever you call those diets are unhealthy and I did say, " a regrettably short life" do you find it difficult to interpret words as they are printed ?
Never mind its just not worth the effort for people like you.

Anorexia and 'extreme dieting' are not the same at all. Anorexia is a horrific mental illnesses that sadly in most cases is incurable, and often fatal.

It is quite possible that the veganism was in this case part of the poor woman's unhealthy relationship with good consumption and a manifestation of her illness, but the clickbait headlines in the tabloids are shameful - and suggesting that vegans are starving themselves to death is absolute nonsense.

On the subject of veganism, there's nothing wrong with being vegan, the reason that (some of us) dislike vegans is because too many of them are trying too hard to convince meat eaters to stop eating meat, and not because of the personal choices that vegans made regarding their own food intake.

a vegan diet is probably a lot healthier than feeding your kid ready meals. i bet less vegans die young than fat pigs do
Both diets are extreme, kids in particular don’t thrive on a vegan diet.
Neither of your examples is good for you but you can make almost any diet work if you know what the deficiencies are and take appropriate supplements.
