The 'don't tell him your name Pike' is IMO one of the all time classic sketches - brilliant - RIP Pike.
Funnily enough I was thinking of this show today - went through Thetford and was thinking about Arthur Lowe's statue - must pay it a visit next time.

My German partner lived here in Kent for 16 years and she loves it too, I get VPN UK TV in Germany and she will tune in to watch when it is available.

I had some Dutch campers who came from near the German border and could watch and laugh at Dad's Army live. I asked if the Germans closeby laughed at it, his face dropped and he said:- "Germans don't laugh at anything". This was in the mid 70s. I think the Germans will laugh at other people, but not themselves, as we do.
