Icotec Hellion+

Any foxers out there using the above caller. Lost my Foxpro remote last night so now in the market for a new caller .

Never used Icotec before but Rob at bestfoxcall recommends the above.

From what I can see all the Icotec seem to have the same features so what makes the Hellion better ?

Any real world advice and experience appreciated before I purchase one.

They are cracking units, I had a cow trample my older one and bracking the antena,still worked fine.I had a dosgy remote too but rob is very helpfull with aftersales.I dont know if Fox pro has a UK aftersales.
Bought the hellion,and again no complaints from me.I only sold it because I wasn't using it having given up my pheasant syndicate.The library of calls you get is ridicilous.I have a load of calls and happy to send you them on an sd card.

Fwiw now, I had an icotec. Foolishly sold it. Then got given a foxpro for free so use that but preferred the calls on the icotec. To my non vulpine ear they sounded more realistic.

I was the opposite, always found the foxpro had the clearer sound, less grainy if that makes sense

I have the icotec Helion + and have had the foxpro.
IMHO the icotec is worlds apart.
1) 300 yards line of sight workable
Foxpro NOT . Get a pilon in the same field and the foxpro isn’t working what ever distance.
2) more storage of calls
3) easier to see remote calls . For people who wear glasses .
Overall 10/10 from me. And the customer service is top notch.. what’s not to like .

Thanks for that , when my Foxpro packs up I will probably change. No complaints with my Foxpro its accounted for hundreds of foxes.

It uses the animal audio app via Bluetooth but after listening to a few of the sounds they aren't very good. Also some are free but you have to buy the rest.

I have picked out four of their listed offerings, they sound pretty good, but as with all the non UK stuff, most of them are not relevant to our needs.

I know , glad Im back to firing on all cylinders. Hopefully get out this weekend and the remote will be guarded closely
