Go live in another country check the rules there first.I don’t think Tax is just a UK issue.
I have family living in Spain. They seem to pay tax on everything,
Father died on the 5 December, his wife will get taxed on the value of his car as it was in his name , she will also be charged for transferring ownership of car to herself.
The U.K. is still in SEPA.You are now paying VAT, duty, postage and a currency transfer fee ( you are no longer in sepa). Customs/shipping company may also tack on a handling fee to complete the customs declaration.
Companies in the UK are subject to the same costs when exporting to the EU.
Guess why?
Don't forget the gallons of yellow snotToo cheap 25£ are not going to bring back the sweatshops too UK. It was better 150 years ago then the texile industry were world leading and the cole smoke made kids pale and sick.
Do you have any repair centres? - you won’t need to replace the target very often if you paste it onto a 3mm sheet of plywood. All I (now) know is this makes for fooooking expensive roe and fox practice targets!
K
VAT is payable on postage...because it's a service. I'd stick to being more outraged about the VAT you pay on the tax on fuel.
Last time I bought something from the UK I was charged an extra currency transaction fee?The U.K. is still in SEPA.

I thought it was SEPA related but maybe not.
Are you outside the exchange rate mechanism?
Thanks, found it. The bank applied a transaction fee for the sterling conversion. I presume it works both ways. The ERM is unrelated to SEPA.
The U.K. was in the ERM for only a couple of years in the early 1990’s.
