I was a passionate advocate for Scottish Independence prior to September 2015. However, the decision to remain under Westminster rule as a result led to a groundswell of misplaced nationalism (which to me, and many of my countrymen, was never what the Referendum was about in the first place) was a huge warning of what was to come. Namely we now have single-party governance, with that party ignoring the democratic process both within and without its own borders, and passing legislation to suit its own agendas. Very worrying.
Scottish Independence under SNP rule will destroy Scotland, in my view. If a second Referendum is held, I for one will not be voting for Independence. Westminster rule is not what I want for my country but it's far preferable to the alternative, which would be to surrender ourselves completely to what is, effectively, a Marxist regime.
