I’m a retired medic living in the Peak District. I’ve been deer stalking in South West Scotland for 25 years, but now see more Reds locally. We’re overrun by them, at times. I personally settled on 6.5 SE and 6.5-284, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg and I’m further ”burdened“ by my father’s tasty collection he took to Alaska many years ago and hardly used. I can now hunt everything from a mouse to a moose. The Firearms Officer tells me I’m near the limit. I’m inclined to agree.
Dogs? An English Pointer, not an ideal stalking dog but has a nose for game and is good natured. Oh, and a young Jack Russell. Watch this space.
Cars. I took delivery of “The Beast“ last month, a Grenadier Trialmaster. Having disliked it initially I’m now sold on it. My wife’s Fieldmaster is coming very soon. I think she will reject it. From the sublime to the ridiculous, for summer I’ve an MG Midget, mine from new.
