I'm a new deer stalker trying to take in as much information as I can.
Trying to stick to Essex but I'm happy to make a day of a stalk and travel a bit.
I spent 7 years in the Army so I have some basics under my belt and I'm working hard to close the knowledge gap on basic stalking.
I'm on my DSC1 this weekend which I hope will form a strong baseline.
I'm going to apply for an FAC at the end of the month and I'm planning to ask for a .308 and a 22-250.
I've learned quickly that if you want to sit in a pub full of stalkers and just drink without talking too much then ask them which calibre is best. Then you can sit back and listen whilst you sink pints till the owner kicks everyone out at closing.
