Hi All,
Thank you for welcoming me to the group. I’m an enthusiastic shooter, experienced with both shotguns and rifles, though in recent years my focus has shifted more towards stalking. I’ve been shooting all my life and have several years of stalking experience. While I’ve done a bit of professional guiding, most of my stalking is recreational.
I’ve recently relocated to Dorset from Wiltshire and am keen to connect with new people, broaden my knowledge, and explore new shooting opportunities in the area.
For lowland stalking, I primarily use a .243 (Sako S20) on a day-to-day basis. I also make regular trips to Scotland each year, where I use a .308 (Begarra B14 Wilderness). I home load my ammunition and take every opportunity to stalk whenever I can.
Regarding shotguns, I was previously the game keeper on a small shoot that operated as a typical small farm syndicate. I stepped away from that a couple of years ago, and while I still dabble with shotguns occasionally, my main focus is now on stalking and deer management.
